Course Modules
Module 1 – Total Station Setup & Use
Learn how to correctly set up and use a total station, including levelling, basic checks and simple setting out tasks used on site.
Module 2 – GPS Setup & Use
Introduction to GPS surveying, rover setup, basic positioning and how GPS is used for setting out and site control.
Module 3 – Drone Setup & Site Capture
Overview of drone use on construction sites, including setup, safe operation and capturing site data such as photos, video and basic mapping.
Module 4 – Practical Setting Out
Hands-on training in setting out typical site elements such as kerbs, drainage and footings, along with working with datums and levels.
Module 5 – Surveying & As-Builts
Learn how to carry out basic site surveys and produce simple as-built information, including both field data capture and basic office workflow.
